Tusz, Jennifer

Science, English, Grade 7 - Grade 8 Class Teacher

Jennifer joined the IPS team in autumn of 2023. Jennifer grew up in Canada, graduating from the University of Alberta. She has over twenty years of teaching experience with various age groups, teaching both sciences and English. Through science education, she strives to encourage her students to question and analyze the world around them and help them develop critical thinking skills that they can apply in all areas of their lives. She is passionate about teaching through experiential learning and developing a scientific understanding of the world around us happens best with a hands-on approach. Jennifer believes the world is in need of change-makers to create a better, more sustainable future. To achieve this, she places students at the centre of the educational process and provides them with both the freedom and the framework to explore and learn independently and in collaboration with others, which also helps to create a sense of community in the classroom. In her free time, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, playing cello and exploring nature.
