Teacher's comments
What our teachers say…
“I enjoy working at IPS because of the small size which results in a family-like atmosphere. We have the opportunity to develop real and trusting relationships with the students, which aligns with my values. Working at IPS is about guiding the children, leading them, providing opportunities for group work and changing the traditional dynamic of teachers solely dictating from the front of the classroom. Most of all, I enjoy teaching the International Primary Curriculum, which is where we get to teach thematic based units that are fun, modern and innovative lessons for both the teacher and the student. I also love how working at Szeged IPS gives me the opportunities to be involved in Erasmus courses where we can further our professional development, which is very important to me.”
“I love working in Szeged IPS because growing up in Serbia in a Hungarian family, I never felt accepted. Here, however, I do due to the fact that we teach international mindedness. I really enjoy the freedom I have when I choose the topics and the teaching methods for my lessons. But what I love the most is our team whose members are not only my colleagues but became my dearest friends during these years.”
“In Szeged International Primary School, I have more opportunities to pay attention to children’s unique needs because of the small class sizes. In addition to that, I appreciate that we can work and study together with the children in a nice, comfortable, homely atmosphere. The community of parents is supportive, which helps us to work more easily and effectively with children and parents.”
“Teaching in Szeged IPS is every practitioner’s dream. Working in a small institution allows me to feel as if the children, colleagues and parents were extended family, contributing greatly to my dedication to the school. What contributes greatly to my dedication to the profession is our school using 21st century international curricula and allowing me to use creativity in my teaching. I have built very special, very trusting relationships with all the children in the school and I feel immensely valued by not only them but the whole Szeged IPS community. As well as being a teacher, I am also a parent in the school and I cannot imagine a more loving, caring and beloved place for my child to be in.”
