Szeged International Primary School (Szeged IPS) was founded in 2017 by the Smiling Face Foundation, later known as the Krisztina Kalocsai Foundation.

In 2023, the operation of Szeged IPS was taken over by the Szeged International Education Center Nonprofit LLC.

The Szeged International Education Center Nonprofit LLC was founded by five committed families whose children also attend the school. The organization is dedicated to maintaining a unique international institution in Szeged and the region — Szeged International Primary School, which provides high-quality English-language education in a caring environment.
