Huge pride! Szeged IPS seventh-grade students won first place in Szeged literary quiz

In September, Deák Ferenc High School announced its first literary competition entitled "SZIMAT - Szeged Youth Hungarian Tusa", which aimed to unite knowledge and creativity, what was learned at school and contemporary literature.

As part of the competition, Andrea Veszits (great-granddaughter of Ferenc Móra): Time Courier, Bowitch Island 2873 and Dóra Gimesi's Ninth Life of the Cat Prince had to be read. The competition consisted of several rounds, in the first two rounds answers had to be sent by e-mail, and then the finalist teams were selected based on these.

The 7th grade students of our school (Máté Kiss, Dániel Paragi, Ádám Benjamin Soós) - that is, the 'Schrödinger cats' team made it to the top 5. The final took place on the afternoon of 7 February 2025 at Deák Ferenc High School, where writer Andrea Veszits was also present as a member of the jury. Here the teams tested their knowledge in various literary, novelistic and local knowledge tasks, and the short films made by the finalist teams were also screened here.

By the end of the afternoon, rich in excitement and concentration, it turned out that the 7th grade team of Szeged International Primary School, Schrödinger's cats, won 1st place in the competition, and the children received praise, reward books and a commemorative card for their performance.
We would like to congratulate our students Máté Kiss, Dániel Paragi and Ádám Benjamin Soós for their achievements!
